South West Seniors Assembly

30 March, 2012: 10.30am – 3.30pm

Taunton Conference Centre, Somerset College

This is a one-day conference being organised by the South West Seniors Network, Age UK and SWFoA.

The programme is still being finalised, but it will give opportunities for older people’s forum representatives and provider organisations to debate key issues and work together to generate positive solutions to some of the many challenges facing older people in the region.

The themes being covered will be: Healthcare, Rural Transport & Social Exclusion, Quality of Life and Housing. Chairing the event will be broadcaster and presenter Valerie Singleton.

There is room for just 130 delegates, and we do anticipate keen demand for places. To register your interest, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . More information will then be sent to you, together with an application form. Places will be allocated on a strictly first come, first served basis, although the organisers reserve the right to restrict participation to bona fide organisations only.

A light buffet lunch will be provided, and a contribution made towards forum representatives’ travel expenses up to a maximum of £30 per delegate, with a maximum of two delegates from each forum. The costs of the event will be covered by Age UK and South West Forum on Ageing.
